4th of July 2011

Over the 4th of July, our family traveled to Minnesota together for the first time since Brinley was born. We had a great time, and it was Brinley's first time meeting a lot of the extended family.

The day before we left, Brinley got a package in the mail from Aunt Liz.  Liz made Brinley a couple of pairs of new bloomers.  Here Brinley is holding up her dress to show them off.   It makes for a cute picture but her dad hopes it doesn't become a habit.
On our trip to MN we went to the picnic at the lake and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa at the Flatau Farm.

Here is Opa holding Brinley at breakfast.
Oma and Brinley get along well.
Brinley met a bunch of second cousins in MN (Karl's cousins kids).  Here she is playing with Nora at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
A four generation photo.  Brinley is the only great grandchild of Rodney and Marian Flatau to have the Flatau last name.  Also, she is the only great-great grandchild of Albert and Elsie Flatau to have the Flatau last name.

Opa thinks Brinley is prety great in her John Deere shirt.
Brinley is relaxing on the porch swing with Oma.

After we spent a couple of days at the farm, we went to Detroit Lakes to visit Grandma Jackie (that's "Gigi" to Brinley).
Brinley and Gigi were happy to meet each other for the first time.
Look at how well Brinley is sitting up!
We took a morning walk down to the beach.
Brinley likes to ride in her K'tan.

A little Goodnight Moon before bed.
We had a fantastic time in MN, and we can't wait to go back.  While we were there, Brinley got her first tooth.  Our little Mae is growing up fast.
