8 Months!

Brinley is 8 months old!  Can you believe it?!?!  We can't either.  In the last couple of months she has really transformed into a big girl.  She is doing so many new things.  Crawling, pulling up, cruising, and feeding herself Cheerios are just a few of the amazing new things she can do.
She is growing up but still, her cuteness can't be beat!
We went to the park this weekend.  As usual, Brinley was being her silly self.

"Take the photo fast Mom. I don't stay in one place for long."

"I pretty much play all day.  Good thing I am cute...
Otherwise I might have to pull my own weight around here."

Visit to see the Manes! (Part 1)

Brinley and I just got home from a trip to the Manes' household (Karl went hunting and had to work).  Unfortunately, the pictures just don't convey the amazingness that we had in Dallas, but here is a taste of what a wonderful time we had.  We can't wait to see Laura, Mike, Jackson, and Anna soon!!!!

Aunt Lala and Brinley at Hobby Lobby.  Brinley was a great trooper and had an awesome time shopping with Laura and I.  We got to go to Hobby Lobby to pick out the decor for Anna's big girl room.  And...we may have done just a little more shopping as well....

Anna likes to ride in style.

Laura and I out to dinner.  Thanks to Mike for doing a great job of babysitting!

The newest family member: Honey!!  It was love at first sight!  Miss you Honey!

Anna and Brinley in matching PJ's with Uncle Mike.

We even got to go to one of Jackson's soccer games!

Anna, Brinley, and I hung out at the library one morning.

Jackson's dream came true--Brinley got to experience the bounce house!

Happy girl

Precious, precious Honey
Did I mention I love Honey?
Brinley discovered that Anna has a bookshelf in her room too!

Very pleased

Two awesome kids

This was taken right before Brinley and I had to go to the airport to go home :(.  Brinley is almost as sad as I am to be leaving...
Thanks to Laura, Mike, Jackson, and Anna for having us!  We had a FANTASTIC time and cannot wait to come back and visit.  We love you!

Stay tuned for more pictures soon!

Labor Day spent with the Flataus

Over Labor Day Weekend, Karl, Brinley and I went to Springfield, MO to be with Karl's family.  It was really fun to be altogether, and Brinley loved seeing her 4 cousins (and one on the way!).  We got to celebrate Kara's first birthday and Oma and Opa's 35th wedding anniversary too!
Hanging out with the family!  (Oma, Opa, and Laura).

Make Way for Brinley Mae!

Brinley Mae is getting better and better at crawling.  With this new skill, she wants to explore everything!  Lately, she has not really been interested in toys when just she and I are home--her new interests are: cords, floor vents, baskets, being under furniture, trashcans, and outlets.   Luckily, Brinley's still not very fast, but she sure is into EVERYTHING!  She's always loved books, but now that she's mobile, she's recently discovered her bookshelves full of books....well, now the bookshelves are empty.
Discovering her bookshelf in her room--jackpot!

I meant to get an "after" shot of all the books on the floor...but here you get the idea.

So happy to be able to look in the toy basket all by herself!

Our happy baby!

Found more books!

Very pleased with herself

Brinley has always enjoyed her baths, but now
she truly plays in the bath, and splashes all around.
I think as a family we all look forward to bath time with our Mae!
